Honda Civic Type R - In actionThe team's Civic Type-R is based on a road car with a T45 cage, fully upgraded suspension and a well tuned Honda engine. The car recorded a number of podiums in 2006 in it's first season in Britcar with newcomer Gary Coulson at the helm. The car ran 100% reliably throughout the season finishing every event, including the Silverstone 24 hour 3rd in class.For 2007 the car has been fully overhauled and completely rebuilt to further improve it's effectiveness without compromising reliability. With improved performance the regular drivers Gary Coulson and Hubert Hinklehoffer finished 3rd in class in Britcar for the season and completed the gruelling 24 hour race. Due to work commitments in 2008 the Civic only enjoyed a couple of outings in Britcar 3 and 4 hour races. On both occasions it finished in the podium for its class and finished in the top 10 overall at Snetterton against 30+ top line cars. For 2009 the car is upgraded to a sequential gearbox. |
