Mallory Park 19th September 2004
With Steve Lewis leading the series by three points the team headed to Mallory Park. With the regular followers and the racers of the series expecting a tussle between title contenders Steve Lewis and V8 developments/Bedlington Motors backed Simon Bowes.
Nothing less than victory would have given Simon Bowes a chance, but this all ended in qualifying when his engine let go in spectacular style (see below). This left the way clear for Moore Racing supported Steve Lewis to win the round, though not without a strong fight from Moore Racing supported Kevan Gore (who qualified on the front row) and Dave Reynolds (who led lap 1).
This gave the team a 1st, 2nd and 3rd with Pat Smith recovering from a qualifying spin to finish 5th. This secured the series for the team with 1 round to spare.
