Pembrey 17-18 April 2004 Saturday - Sunday
Expectations were high in the Moore Racing team for a repeat performance on Sunday on a drying track. Buoyed with confidence from Saturday, Kevan took pole comfortably. Pat Smith secured 3rd place and David Reynolds practiced his lines in 7th place. The upset of the session was surely Graham Walden out-qualifying Silverstone instructor and some time mentor Steve Lewis.
For Kevan Gore the race looked like a carbon copy with an early lead, but unfortunately for Kevan, Pat Smith had other ideas and waited until the penultimate lap to take the lead. Once in the lead there was no chance that Pat would give up the possibility of his first win. Graham Walden found himself in 2nd overall after the first corner, a slip into Honda allowed Steve Lewis to slip past into third and the turbo power of Pat proved too much for Graham. All that remained was for David Reynolds to act as tail gunner and retain 5th place to the end.
All in all a great weekend for the team with 2 x 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th finishes. Congratulations to Pat and Kevan for their first ever wins. Also to Graham for his best results yet and David for a podium in his first ever race! Saturday
