Nurburgring 12-13 June 2004

The team were invited to join Nurburgring 24hr veteran Willie Moore at the 'ring for the 2004 Rennen 24hr. The opportunity to assist an established team with one of the five international status 24h races of the year could not be passed up. The grid consisted of 220 cars varying from GT-spec Viper's and DTM cars to Opel Corsa's on road tyres. The team ran an E36 M3, similar to the one used in Britcar this season, although highly evolved for top international competition.

A strong, consistent performance yielded 15th position overall and 2nd in class. The class win was never in question though, with the Falken Motorsport Skyline (see picture) leading the class by some margin (a lot of people consider this car to be one of the fastest works Skylines in the world).

The team learnt a lot in preparation for an assault on the race next year with our own car and team. Obviously the effort put in impressed the very experienced Willie Moore International Team as Moore Racing has been invited back to assist with another international 24h race, the Belcar 24hr round at Zolder in August.
