Race Result: 1st & 1st

Althought the Almeria track, usually used for motorbikes, suited the lighter SR3 Radicals through the first two thirds of the track, the additional power along the final thrid allowed the SR8s to edge out the lighter cars. Phil Keen and Mike Gardiner used the Spanish winter series - The Nevada Cup - as an extended test for the upcoming British season.

Mike and Phil although used to the car used their experience to rapidly improve the car to the point it was quicker than the established works cars. Once clear of the pack from pole the pair were only headed during the pitstops and established a dominant position at the top of the mini championship leaderboard.
